IMSU Vice Chancellor Donates her one month salary for church project

Prof. Mrs. Victoria Adaobi Obasi, the Vice Chancellor of Imo State University worshiped at the Anglican chaplaincy, Chapel of the Holy Spirit IMSU, with the company of IMSU staff.

It was a thing of joy for the entire chaplaincy to see the VC worshiping with the members of the chapel. Though it is her usual routine to visit the chapel as she deem it necessary as an Anglican and not only an Anglican but also the head of the University. This also gives her the opportunity to show her concern to the church, students, and staff of the university, because it seems to be a time she set aside not only to worship God with the chapel members but a time of fellowship.

She was accompanied by The Director of Academic planning, The Bursar, Deans of faculty, Head of departments, Lecturers and other staff.

It will be pertinent for you to also know that the only two among her children who are in Nigeria, also graced the occasion.

Speaking at the occasion, the VC thanked all those who welcomed her invitation and deemed it necessary to worship with her at COTHS. She also thanked the chaplain of the chaplaincy Rev. Canon Chinemerem Uche for being a distinguished Reverend who has not stop nurturing the students academically, spiritually, and otherwise.

Rev. Canon C. Uche on his sermon, "do you still not understand?" Charged the staff and students of IMSU, that if they are yet to see the good works of God and they have as well not had the understanding that God has been faithful, then they need to recognize this in psalms 103:3-5 "who forgive all your sins and heals all your diseases, who satisfies your desires with good things so that your youth is renewed like the Eagle's."
He continued by projecting that for talents to add to the growth of the Nigerian economy, IMSU should look into having a department of music where talents could be refined.

The chaplaincy presented items that were produced in the compound, which includes; oranges, plantain, palm nut, Cat fish, etc to the VC and those who accompanied her.
The VC who was overwhelmed supported the ongoing project of COTHS with her next month salary. Those who accompanied her also supported the projects.
