Jobs Creation: Imo state finally have a database for unemployed youths

This is a sponsored post.

Are you looking for opportunities to be seen by employers? Do you feel you are not getting the right job offers for you? Do not worry, just take your time and read this to the end an automatic job is on the way for you.

Do you remember the popular “One Week, One Trouble?” literature we read those days in the secondary school? Anyway, let me not bother you with that, because, I know some of you never saw it because, you may have studied in far away, United States of America, United Kingdom, United state of America, United States of Akpodim etc.

Anyway, that’s by the way. We are glad to inform you that from Hon. Remy Chukwunyere, the Principal Officer to the Imo State Governor on Employment and Job Creation, what we get is “One Week, One Milestone!”

Last week, it was the launch of the DFID MADE Technology Adoption Grant and today, it’s the release of the Imo Jobs Online and Unemployment Database, which he has developed to make it easier for unemployed youths in Imo State to access job openings available in all the private companies and organizations in the State.

Speaking to newsmen today in his office, the “youthscarely yours” business coach informed us that the site, is an e-recruitment platform and online meeting place for both job seekers and employers in Imo State.

According to him, this project was developed in line with the new vision of His Excellency, Owelle Rochas Okorocha, the Executive Governor of Imo State in creating massive employment opportunities for Imo youths. He added that the project will afford the State Government and its development partners to ascertain the actual number of unemployed youths and adults in the State and thereby develop a Master plan for creating jobs and employment for them.

Hear him... “I am proud that I am the one to first develop this tool that will be used by the State Government and all other development partners seeking reliable information, statistics and demographic spread of unemployment in the State.

With our forthcoming partnership with the private sector operators and the State Development Council, the portal will become an online clearing house for all employment related issues in the State. For me, it’s a great accomplishment and I wish to ask our youths to grab this opportunity and showcase their skills to the employers that will soon besiege the portal for their manpower recruitment needs.”

He thereafter thanked, the Governor for the opportunity given to him to prove his capacity to create jobs for Imo youths and called on all stakeholders to embrace and support this wonderful initiative.
