Breaking: Pres. Buhari to transfer power to VP Osinbajo for 10 working days again!

President Buhari to leave Nigerian for UK, as he writes to national assembly for Vice president Osinbajo to act on his behalf before his return, which he will be spending 10 working days on his medical trip to the UK.

According to the letter sent by the presidency to the upper chamber and lower chamber respectively, it entails that the Nigeria president, is to leave for another vacation which the transfer of power as the president of the federation will be given to the vice president for the third time to act as the president.

This letter came to the National Assembly due to the presidents medical situation that needs urgent attention in the UK.

Senate President Bukola Saraki read Mr. Buhari’s letter, also forwarded to the House of Representatives, on Thursday. 

The leave is between January 23 and February 6, making 10 working days, the President told the lawmakers through the letter read by Mr. Saraki at Thursday’s plenary.

A formal notice to both chambers of the National Assembly to appraise the lawmakers of intention to go on leave and handover power temporarily to the vice-president is in compliance with Section 145 (1) of the Nigerian Constitution.
