By Fred Latimore from Delta State

Chief James Onanefe Ibori 's top men and political associates seem to have ignored the unsolicited advise of former Governor of Delta State, Dr Emmanuel Uduaghan, never to make their visit to his junior cousin in London public.

Uduaghan had in a press statement berated Chief Ibori's core loyalists for celebrating their political mentor who was released from a London Prison late last year.

The lastest visitors to Chief Ibori in London are three lawmakers of the Delta State House of Assembly (DTHA), Hon Sheriff Oborivbori, Hon Evans Ivwurie and Hon Oharisi. The trio stormed London to renew their political loyalty and openly associated with the man Uduaghan is ashamed to visit in London after several years of incarceration.

Hon Evans Ivwurie told news hunters in London "I am not ashamed to associate with Chief Ibori. He is a political mega force who arose our interest in politics through his doggedness and mesmerising charismatic political leadership.

"We are pretty sure that he will be back home soon to ignite the temple of partisan politics and to further contribute his best towards the socioeconomic advancement of Delta State in particular and Nigeria in general."

On his part, Hon Sheriff Oborivbori said "those who are ashamed to associate with Chief Ibori may continue to avoid him for reasons best known to them. As for me and my family, we shall continue to associate with our political leader.

"From 1999 till date, Chief Ibori remains the true face of Delta politics with vast political associates across the six geopolitocal zones. His political influence is still hot and fresh, and by popularity rating Ibori has no rival in Delta State from 1999 till date.

"Some people said we are celebrating ex-convict and a looter and we are quick to tell them that the billions of Naira and several millions of dollar so far recovered by President Muhammadu Buhari were not traced to Chief Ibori.

"Some unscrupulous elements in government looted Nigeria peoples money and inflicted economic recession on about 180 million Nigerians. Ibori was in jail when nearly all the States and national treasuries were looted and yet none of them in jail."

"To say Ibori is the only corrupt governor in Nigeria who deserved to be jailed while others are not, amounts to broad day misrepresentation of facts and untill those who looted our national treasuries are jailed, Ibori will remain a hero to those of us who are determined to follow him till the end of time."

It will be recalled that the frequent visit of some political heavyweights to Chief Ibori in London did not go down well with Emmanuel Uduaghan who preferred to associate with and visit Ibori in secret so as not to put Ibori in more problems.

Fillers from London revealed that Chief Ibori is not moved by Uduaghan's statement, considered to emanate from a serial coward and a failed political leader who could strengthen the Ibori political structure which produced him as governor in 2007 and 2011.

It is also on record that Uduaghan is yet to visit the very man (Ibori) who made him the Executive Governor of Delta State even when Deltans rejected him (Uduaghan) in 2007.
