Passion: THE PROFILE OF A REAL CHAMPION

This story was sent in by Sunday Covenant from Imo State....

Profile is the outline of a person’s face when you look from the inside and not from the outside. Your arrival in this planet earth is for a purpose and until you discover the purpose of your creation, you cannot unleash the potential of champions. Champions in life are those who made up their mind to be diligent in their businesses.

Proverbs22:29 “Seeth thou a man diligent in his business, he shall stand before kings and he shall not stand before mean men”

Build up your confidence with diligent seeking of God’s word because diligence guarantees total confidence in life, which makes you a champion.

A champion is one who sets standard for himself, a person who is not carried away by what people say about him. And it is important to know that when people are talking about you, it actually means that you have something that they do not have. It also means that they want to cultivate a kind of habit you are exhibiting. Champions are all over the world today, but in God’s agenda there are real champion. Paul the Apostle said I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course and I have kept the faith. Paul fought the fight of champions not the physical fight of this world. Though he was in the world but he is not of the world, because he now carries a different spirit within him, and that is the spirit of God. He kept the faith of victory, for his son Timothy to continue from where he stopped.

A champion is one who obeys rules and regulation. A champion is humbled by the word of God he hears. A champion adheres to Gods instructions, ready to pursue and undertake any suggestion from the Lord, always following the precepts of God at all time.

A real champion is never distracted. He is always on the move, not considering what people discuss about him because he knows where he is going.

A champion is always attentive and slow to speak.

A champion knows that all things are possible and he does not believe he will fall. Even if he falls he knows he has not failed but he is on the making process.

“Matthew 19:26But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, with men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible”.

Impossibility only lies in the bosom of fools and goalless people. A case study is Joseph and Caleb who refused to see themselves as grasshoppers. Despite the giant in the land, victory was made sure via the pronouncement of faith filled word. For we are more than conquerors, so what you profess is what you receive in return.

Joseph was a man destined for greatness. He had a dream. A dream that was best understood by him and though his brothers betrayed him, but one thing kept him moving, THE DREAM HE HAD. Despite the challenges, the temptations in Potiphar’s house the betrayal, the imprisonment, his coat of many colors that was torn into pieces, the false accusation that was leveled upon him but he refused to quit. The increase in hatred by his brethren increased the dream the more.

Genesis 37:9 And he dreamed yet another dream and told it his brethren, and said, behold, I have dreamed a dream more; and behold, the sun and the moon and the eleven stars made obeisance to me.

The dream he had was not a local dream. It was a dream with international and heavenly backup. It was like fire in his spirit that he was left with no other alternative than telling it to his brethren. why, because it was a source of announcement. There was more to his life and that was why he dreamt yet the more, and he was envied the more but all these made him stronger because he knew he was a champion in the making. Hatred is meant to abound but not forever.

The negative habits one does not quit today, may destroy him tomorrow. Do you think that you cannot make it? There are lots of potentials, a lot of hidden talent that is locked up inside you. Stop blaming anybody, don’t you think you can make? Yes! You can phillipians 4:13 KJV I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me. Come on rise up and shine for your light is come Isaiah 60:1 Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee.

My dear, you cannot have all this spiritual empowerment and remained tied down. No! It is not possible! The word of God has been there to make you remain focused on your dream. As Joseph was, he refused to be distracted by distracters. The following principles will be of help to you.

  • Determination: Decide something positive today.

  • Focus: Remain focused on the decision.

  • Yield: Give your all to it and yield not to temptation.

  • Attentiveness: Always listen to the voice of God not man.

  • Obedience: Obey God’s instruction because it carries direction.

  • Moderate: Do not be carried away by what you see in the world today for they are temporal. Moderate your thoughts, eyes and heart.

Is already in you, just stir it up. You are the next in line to be announced.
