THE BUSINESS IN YOU DAILY: Do you think those who studied abroad become more successful in business?

Remy Chukwunyere writes from Imo State...

Dear IYB readers, welcome to the Business in You Daily!

So many readers have responded to the ongoing discussion about this important strategy and I want to conclude the conversation in this edition. As usual, our sister Carol Kezziah Wambuii from Kenya was quick to introduce a new dimension to the discussion. Let’s see what she said…

Carol Kezziah Wambui… “I came from a humble home and didn’t continue with school after Secondary School. The fact that I have no university degree does not hinder me in any way from going forth into tomorrow. What I have learned in the business world: the instincts, the wisdom, etc cannot be learned in any school. I am saying this to encourage those like me who didn’t get the opportunity to further their education….”

In responding, Remy Chukwunyere said… Carol, no one will ever think you didn't go further in education with the level of wisdom that you display whenever you make contributions. That is another compelling evidence that true wisdom is the one that comes from God, as He rightly said in the Bible. This is a great word of encouragement to others. Like I kept saying on this platform, one does not learn how to make money in the universities.

I also know of a great author from Jamaica, who does not have a university degree but has published several books and won so many national and international awards. It's not about the schools you attended but your determination to succeed in life... God bless you, the more!”

My dear, it’s not really about the schools you attended. From the above, we can see young ladies who are succeeding in their businesses without any university education. Unfortunately, most times, I hear young people say that those who studied abroad in the UK, US, Europe, etc are more successful than those who studied locally. Some of them use this as an excuse for not excelling or launching out their ideas. Is it true? What do you have to say about this? This is open for discussions and don’t forget, we learn by sharing experiences and ideas. Meanwhile, hurry now and sign up at www.youthscare.org or call me on 0803 870 2075

Many thanks for your time and good night!
