THE BUSINESS IN YOU DAILY: Join us at “The African Way” in Owerri

Remy Chukwunyere writes from Imo State....

Dear IYBlog readers, Good morning and Happy Valentine in arrears! I hope you showed love and care to your neighbours on Val day, especially the less privileged. According to the popular Glo sponsored comic series on NTA, Professor Johnbull, Valentine’s Day is not a day for you to borrow money and buy your spouse or girlfriend expensive gifts but a season of love for your less privileged neigbhours.

Anyway, in the same spirit of Valentine, I am pleased to ask you to join us at “The African Way”. This is a platform we have packaged for young people and students who are talented in music, drama, dance, poetry, comedy, etc to showcase themselves to the world.

As you can bear with me, most celebrated artistes around the world today started out while in school. They developed their talents and turned them into business opportunities because someone somewhere provided the platform. That’s exactly why I and my agency, Imo State Directorate for Employment and Job Center are getting involved in this project which is being organized by the Students Campus Movement and proudly sponsored by House of Freeda and other companies.

For me, I still think that the event will not be complete if you’re not part of it. You may be a student or a young unemployed graduate but have got any of the above skills or talents, I am inviting you to join us and showcase your hidden talent.

On the other hand, you reading this might be the leader of your organization or company, I hereby appeal for your support and sponsorship. The task of helping young people turn their talents and passions into business ventures cannot be for me alone. You should do something and write your name in gold when some of them become successful in life because of your kind support.

The event is scheduled to take place at the Imo Youth Center (beside Concord Hotel, Owerri) on Friday, February 24, 2016 by 6.00 p.m.

If you’re student or youth and want to perform, please call Chisom on 0816 604 4568 and if you want to become one of our sponsors, call me now on 0803 870 2075 or visit for more information.

We’re in this job creation business together and success is inevitable! Don’t forget, this is reaching you from the stable of Youth Cooperative and Enterprise Academy. Join us at “The African Way”.

Many thanks for your time, have a wonderful day ahead of you
