PRESS RELEASE RE: A COALITION OF APC YOUTH, WOMEN AND ELDERS FORUM,IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE DELTA STATE RESCUE MOVEMENT, HAS CALLED ON PRESIDENT BUHARI TO HALT THE CONFIRMATION/SWEARING IN OF DR SALIBA MUKORO.

The attention of the Delta APC Elders forum has been drawn to a publication on various social media platforms alleging that the Delta APC Elders entered into a coalition to make a call to President Muhammad Buhari as regards the appointment of Prof. Saliba Mukoro.

Though the Chairman of the Elders forum, Chief Engr. Hyacinth Enuha had earlier raised the alarm over the appointment pattern in Delta state which is visibly not coming to core APC members, never a time did the group attend any meeting or entered into any coalition with some groups as stated by the writer, one Christopher Agaga.

In the said write up, the writer further alleged that the Minister of state for Petroleum, Dr. Ibe Kachikwu was responsible for skewing the appointment to PDP members in the state which was never contained in the earlier statement by the Leadership of the elders forum.

For the avoidance of doubt and for clarity, no member of the Elders forum had pointed fingers at any body neither the Minister of state for Petroleum, Dr. Ibe Kachikwu as being the mastermind of the recent appointment of Prof. Saliba Mukoro but a general call on the need to empower card carrying members of the party as is the norm in party politics.

While the Elders believe that anybody or group can congregate and take certain decisions as it affects them, it is very wrong to drag the Elders into what they never partook in under any guise or disguise no matter the good intention or otherwise.

The Elders forum will want the general public and all relevant bodies including the Party to disregard the erroneous addition of the Elders forum in the purported meeting.
