FUTA mourns students having compulsory entrepreneurship class as 2 Dies

The Federal University of Technology, Akure, FUTA, has formally told the guardians of the two under graduates of the school who suffocated on Saturday at an angling lake on while attempting to take a selfie. 

The representative of the school, Gbenro Adebanjo, who affirmed this in an announcement on Sunday, said the college felt for the guardians, realizing that it was an attempting time for them. 

"FUTA emphasizes its sense of duty regarding the wellbeing of its students and security measures where the episode occurred are now being looked into keeping in mind the end goal to avert future event," he opined. 

The students who had before partaken in a required entrepreneurship practical class, chosen to have some photograph session utilizing a kayak at the close-by lake. 

The kayak upset and the students fell into the lake. 

"Protect endeavors were promptly assembled which the Dean of Students, Professor Kayode Alese facilitated," Mr. Adebanjo said. 

"Two of the students were protected minutes after the occurrence, while regardless of all endeavors two of them Olabiyi Emmanuel from the department of Agricultural and Environmental Engineering 300 level, and Olokun Babatunde Alex, from the branch of Project Management Technology (PMT) 300 level, kicked the bucket. 

"The college is profoundly disheartened by the shocking episode. The guardians of the students have all been advised. 

"Our supplications are with them at this extremely attempting and troublesome circumstances and the university sympathizes with them and implore that the Almighty God will give them the mettle to manage the agonizing misfortune."
