PDP is now too tough to handle as we are the alternative Nigeria is waiting for - Markafi

The National Caretaker Committee Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Senator Ahmed Makarfi, said yesterday that current happenings in the party have settled the polity in Nigeria.

Makarfi, a former governor of Kaduna State, additionally said the party's non-elective convention slated for August 12, 2017, would characterize the projects of the party.

Tending to PDP Women's Forum which visited him at the party's national secretariat in Abuja, Makarfi said separated from accommodating with wronged individuals, the PDP would draw in new enrollment.

"We know there is hunger; we realize that there are challenges, a wide range of issues in the nation. Be that as it may, when this judgment came, it appeared to have cut down tempers".

"Why tempers have gone down is that individuals have seen the option they have been sitting tight for. We will cooperate as dependably to ensure we don't disappoint the general population".

"We have a great deal of work in front of us, to accommodate. When I discuss compromise, we are discussing compromise by and large terms, not over late occasions. We have to backpedal to 2015 and even before at that point and accommodate with the same number of our party men and women that either left the party or have created icy feet".

"So it's an issue of adjusting of interests without overlooking the info, the commitments of men and women over the length and expansiveness of this nation to take this party to where we are right now, notwithstanding every one of the troubles," he opined.
