WHY DEATH ATTEMPT ON SENATOR OVIE OMO-AGEGE FAILED


Senator Ovie Omo-Agege who, in the company of his wife, kids, APC Chieftains and party individuals, recipients and different members, barely got away from an apparently arranged and pre-reflected death attempted on his life.


The incident happened on Saturday, 5th July 2017, at the mainstream Effurun Market in Uvwie Local Government Area of Delta State amid the second period of his Constituency 'Empowerment Program' where he was giving out direct monetary help to many petty traders and Okada riders, when a sorted out swarm of incensed young people raged the field with risky weapons, shooting sporadically.

Part of the press statement released by APC spokeman Engr. Leonard Obibi  of Delta State it reads:

We are thankful to God Almighty that this death attempt was unsuccessful and that no life was lost. We additionally express our ardent sensitivities to our Senator, his family, members, and in addition individuals from the Delta Central Senatorial District who have demonstrated incessant love and with an out-pouring of help. We are likewise exceptionally satisfied to take note that Senator Omo-Agege did not respect this wanton show of savagery, as he behaved in a way that indicated striking, develop and shrewd initiative with a specific end goal to maintain a strategic distance from pointless slaughter over a magnanimous occasion. 

Report has it that a few people  who had wounds in the fracas that resulted were hurried to the clinic, while a few vehicles in the escort were crushed and different offices obliterated.

A formal complaint of this incident was made known to the police in Ekpan Warri.

Speaking to IYB the party PRO affirms, "we approach the security offices inside the State to promptly do an intensive examination by a split group to angle out and capture the suspected gangsters that executed this offensive wrongdoing and convey them to the sacrificial stone of equity." He opined.
