LG Election: A'Ibom APC lauds members for peaceful primaries

UYO- THE All Progressives Congress (APC) in Akwa Ibom has commended party members for observing a hitch free party primaries to elect candidates who will represent the party in December 2 council poll.
The state Chairman of the party, Dr. Amadu Atai, made the commendation after observing the primaries in Oruk Anam2 and Ikot Ekpene Local Governments in Ikot Ekpene Senatorial District of the state on Monday.

Atai said reports reaching him from other local government areas of the state showed that the primaries were peaceful and orderly.

“I want to commend members of our great party for their show of maturity and to urge the aspirants to accept the outcome in good faith,’’ he said.

The chairman said that this was necessary “so that we can work together for the main election which I am sure our party will sweep the polls’’.

Also, the winner of Ikot Ekpene Local Government primaries, Mr. Clement Essien, hailed of the primaries.
Essien urged his opponents to join hands with him to ensure the party’s victory in the December 2 election.
He described his victory as an act of God, and promised that he would render selfless service and carry everyone along if elected.
