NDDC begins erosion control project in Evbodobian and Owe community in Orhionmwon

As Edo Rep. Inspects and express satisfaction on work progress

Edo state NDDC commissioner Hon. Saturday Uwuilekhue has inspected the ongoing erosion control project in Evbodobian and Owe communities in Orhionmwon local government area.

Uwuilekhue who visited construction site on Wednesday told newsmen of the necessity in doing this, he explained that overtime these communities have had bad experiences with flood especially during rainfall.

He said "The plan is to divert erosion to a more better place suitable for it as the residents of this communities have faced hard times due to the erosion that takes it's resting place in the market, schools and other public places" 

He explained that construction of good drainage system is ongoing in all Street of Owe and Evbodobian communities to arrest this flood and will be tarred immediately, when drainage is completed

Speaking with the contactor he said these communities are not naturally drained, and all means will be applied to ensure that the effect of construction will be felt when work is completely done.
