Delta state government says it will revoke any land allocated to Real estate Developers who did not mobilized to site six months after allocation.

The Commissioner for lands Surveys and Urban development, Ossai Peter Chika stated this while addressing private developers at the National Real estate data Collation/Management Conference which took place in Calabar, Cross River state.

The Commissioner who commended Real estate Developers for their contributions toward the development of different parts of the states in the South South Zone, frowned at the attitudes of some developers who always asked for Land allocation only to abandoned it after allocation .

He said that the Delta state government has allocated over three hundred hectares of land to Developers across the state without much satisfying result.

Hon Chika Ossai called for attitudinal change amongst some Real Estate Developers so as to encourage government at all levels to have a cordial relationship with them.

The Lands Commissioners stated that the Delta state government will continue to partner with serious developers who will deliver in accordance to polices of the state government.

He stated that Senator Ifeanyi Okowa will continue to assist developers by making the state an investment friendly for serious investors especially real estate Developers.

Hon Chika Ossai urged real estate Developers to always maintain a cordial relationship with their financiers and have concrete agreement On the implementation of their building projects, before asking for land.

He thanked the South South zone branch of Real Estate Developers Association of Nigeria (REDAN)for working as a team and urged them to come out with a strong communiqué that will be able to differentiate real developers from less serious once.

The President of the National real Estate Developers Association of Nigeria, Surveyor Ogochukwu Chime said the aim of the conference is to create a forum where all Real Estate Developers have a uniform interest pursuing a common goal.

Surveyor Chime added that the conference is also aimed at collation of data which is important in the planning,policy and business decisions as well as execution of tasks.
He commended the Delta state government for partnering with real estate Developers and pass a vote of confidence on the Commissioner for lands Surveys and Urban development Delta state, Hon Chika Ossai for some changes being observed in the ministry since his deployment to the office.
