NDDC and Routine Projects Inspection, Towards Effective Projects Delivery.

Executive Director Projects of the Niger Delta Development Commission NDDC, Engr Dr. Samuel Adjogbe FNSE has re-stated the vision of the Interventionist Agency to ensuring effective projects delivery.

Adjogbe who made this remark during a routine project inspection of the Emergency Repairs of Oghenevweta Street in Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State, noted:

'The Contractor is back to site to fix the bad section of the road after an initial completion of that section. The cut section was due to flooding and silting of the area. Contractor had to introduce a single box curlvert to resolve the perennial cutting of the road along that section.'

Speaking further, the EDP stressed that:

'This is a best practice under retention period that should be emulated by other contractors.'

Representatives of the Community who received the EDP and his team, lauded the resilience of the NDDC towards ensuring that projects were done to appreciable standards.

A resident of the area had this to say:

'Before now, this area known as oghenevweta street was written off as a 'no go area' but now there is hope, courtesy of this intervention...'

With the EDP during the inspection exercise was Comrade Monday Oyeghe; Special Assistant to the EDP.
