Many people do not know how closely related, the assassinated Director-general of Ugwumba Uche Nwosu's Ezihe Foundation is to his former principal, but those involved in his death may have this information, which may actually be why he became their target for assassination. For a man who hardly got angry with anyone and was always looking for ways to put smiles on people's faces, it is unimaginable that anyone could target him for any form of harm, except of course, those who know how emotionally linked he is with Ugwumba Uche Nwosu.

Some people had suggested that this killing may have been carried out as a way of emotionally traumatizing the frontline governorship candidate, while others believe that the man was hacked down because he was found to be the closest ally of the Imo State Chief of Staff. There is no evidence that the DG of Ezihe Foundation was actually kidnapped for ransom, rather, some information gathered, though skeletal, suggest that assassination might have been the intent from onset.

However, another thinking has it that the man who was an uncle to Ugwumba Uche Nwosu may have identified one of his abductors, which made them take to snuffing life out of him, in order to clean off any trace to the criminal gang. It is also alleged that one of his abductees masked his face during the operation further lending credence to the suspicion that someone known to him might have been involved in the dastardly act.

There seems to be a deliberate attempt by some people to connect Akano's death to some local NURTW politics in Mgbidi, Oru-West, and this is most unfortunate. Chief Akano has no business with NURTW politics and is not from Oru-West, hence, there couldn't have been any connection. His abductors may be members or even leaders of NURTW in Oru-West, but his abduction certainly has nothing to do with the local power struggle between these transporters and their workers. I believe the Nigerian Police Force is on top of the situation and will dig up all the smallest details concerning this matter, to ensure that those involved are brought to book.

Through the Ezihe Foundation which he headed, Chief Amos Akano was able to take a number of youths off the streets and made them useful to the society. Through him, millions of Naira was spent on developing youths and reducing crime.

Chief Amos Akano was a kind-hearted gentleman who spent most of his life building other people and bringing peace to troubled communities. He saved hundreds if not thousands of youths from crime and other forms of delinquency by empowering them with useful skills and the needed funds to make their lives better. It is most unfortunate that he had to die this way. May his killers never escape justice.
