UGWUMBA UCHE NWOSU TAKES CHARGE OF PRESIDENT BUHARI'S REELECTION CAMPAIGN


President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the appointment of Imo State Chief of Staff and frontline governorship candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress in Imo State, Ugwumba Uche Nwosu as the National Coordinator of his 2019 reelection support Committee.


The appointment which is a confirmation of the Imo Chief of Staff's administrative ingenuity was communicated through the President's Special Assistant on Political Matters, Rt. Hon. N. Salamani, also has a former governor of Borno State, Senator Ali Modu Sheriff as the Director-general of the all important Political Committee charged with coordinating support from across the nation and beyond for the President's reelection campaign.

Another eminent Imo son and youth leader who made it to the committee is Hon. Godstime Samuel who was appointed the Deputy Youth Leader of the committee.

The committee which has eminent Nigerians as members, also has Vice-president Professor Yemi Osibanjo as one of the national patrons, with Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha. President Muhammadu Buhari's closest confidante, Mamman Daura is the national leader of the committee, while the President himself serves as the grand-patron.

Nwosu, a frontline campaigner for President Buhari's reelection was the President's pick as national Coordinator of the committee because of his untainted integrity, mobilization capacity and sterling leadership credentials. The President is said to be also impressed with the humility, courage and strength of character of the seasoned technocrat, hence, his request for him to take charge of the committee.

Governors in APC States across the Federation have been requested to nominate State and LGA coordinators for the committee, while all presidential aides are automatic facilitators of the committee.

Congratulations to the young man who has made a lot of differences in a very short time. More feathers.
